“One of the many things I love about Snehadhara is the equity and inclusion. It walks the talk” – says Sumathi.

“My association with Snehadhara started with meeting Gitanjali during a course in Pune. I was a supervisor first and we started getting to know each other slowly and later became friends. When she told me she wanted to start something on her own, I was on board. I have been a part of it from the start and it has been fascinating go see it from then. When we were trying to set up the campus as it is now, we had some hitches but as soon as we made the decision with this place, everything happened organically. Thing fell into place and it all seemed part of the plan.”

“One thing I love about Snehadhara is that every stakeholder is treated equally, be it support team, interns, guests, students. They are all made to feel that they belong here. The easiest way to be, walking the talk of equity and inclusion. And I admire that things are done in an organised manner. The leader puts effort into it as much as is expected from all others. It is great to see all the different work and verticals progressing. Nothing fizzles out and that is credit to the leadership. Compassion and love are part of the philosophy here and I believe it has to be a part of everyone’s lives. Life becomes more meaningful. I would love to see many Snehadharas all over because it’s ethos needs to be carried and spread. The world then becomes a less complicated to live.”

“I would say – come here and be here to know this space. I was recently reading about the potential one can have. And I realised that Snehadhara is a place where you can go deeper within to explore and utilise this potential.”

What is Humans of SF?

This is a series on the humans of SF; an attempt to celebrate each of the people who make Snehadhara whole. Novelist Anne Sewell said “It is good people who make good places.” And amongst the many good people in this world, there are some here at Snehadhara who make up this good place. We are ecstatic to bring to you glimpses of the Snehadhara team. Join us as we delve into the stories of people who stand for SF.
