Art for Inclusion (AFI)
Art for Inclusion stands as an initiative that empowers artists with disabilities from across the country, recognising art as a powerful leveller and universal language. While access to the arts is often limited for persons with disabilities, AFI seeks to change this by identifying talented artists and offering them meaningful platforms to share their work.
Through fully accessible exhibitions and opportunities for collaboration, visibility, and creative exchange, AFI supports artists through every stage of their artistic journey. The initiative champions accessibility—through tactile, audio, and braille-enabled formats—and nurtures a community where diverse artistic expressions can be celebrated, experienced, and understood by all.
At its core, AFI envisions a world where artists with disabilities are not only included but centred in the cultural landscape. By amplifying their voices, expanding public access to inclusive art experiences, and creating pathways for recognition, AFI contributes to building an ecosystem where creativity, dignity, and opportunity thrive together.
The project Art for Inclusion: Supporting Artists with Disabilities in Karnataka is a natural extension of this vision—focusing specifically on empowering artists with disabilities by giving them the skills, mentorship, and platforms needed to share their creativity with wider audiences. In doing so, it continues the foundation’s commitment to making inclusion a lived reality, where art becomes both a voice and a bridge for those often left unseen.
