The program, jointly spearheaded by Snehadhara, Gladpeople Music Management Company, and buydjembe.com, is dedicated to providing enriching arts experiences for vulnerable groups of children and adults. Through rhythm-based practices, it aims to foster community building and inclusivity.

About the Workshop

Delve deep into the art of working with authentic West African instruments alongside the esteemed Guinean Ensemble, making history with the first-ever Residential Workshop of its kind in India. With the blessings of Grand Master Famodou Konate and the inspiring Monette Marino, an institution in herself, we are excited to announce a series of learning experiences. This workshop hosts Master Barbara Bangoura Fakoly and his ensemble artists, including Bibiche Sambou Touré Fakoly, Wali Sory Diabate, and Mohamed Camara.

- Instructors: Experience the guidance of renowned artists deeply rooted in African traditions: Master Barbara Bangoura Fakoly and his ensemble artists, including Bibiche Sambou Touré Fakoly, Wali Sory Diabate, and Camara Mohamed.
- Workshop Focus: On class days, enjoy 6 hours of djembe classes followed by Dunun, Balafon, or African Dance classes.
- Additional Classes: Private classes available for Djembe, Balafon, Dundun, Kora, Dance, and performance techniques. Additional registration and fees apply.

About the Campus and Residential Workshop
- Campus: Nestled in the outskirts, the Snehadhara Foundation campus provides the perfect setting for a residential workshop. Participants have the opportunity to stay with the ensemble, getting to know them intimately, learning from their expertise, and building a sense of community. The lush environs of mango and chikoo trees have made our Nelamangala campus an idyllic location for collaborative or therapeutic activities. Designed to harness the best of nature, the campus is an oasis of calm and creativity as its eco-friendly architecture perfectly complements the soothing vibrations of peace and harmony. Our campus, home to the Semi-Residential Direct Care Programme of Snehadhara Foundation, is 10,800 sq ft of pure tranquility amidst lush greenery that surrounds it. Situated within the Aadya Resort (Nelamangala) this space offers the serenity of a retreat away from the commotion of a city while still remaining accessible and equipped with the amenities of a modern life.
